Ever wonder what's going on in the Plaza in Santa Fe? GO HERE for a web cam which refreshes itself about every 4 or 5 seconds.. Just how long is that guy on the bench gonna' sleep? And the same HERE for the Taos Plaza. This one I think you have to refresh yourself.

I told a friend of mine, who was going to Santa Fe, to stand in front of the camera at an exact time and wave. It worked, there he was.

WILDFIRES IN THE SOUTHWEST THIS SEASON...

...are likely to be bad and numerous! In some areas fire officials are likening the possibilities to a "Perfect Storm." Much of the grassland in the Southwest is super-dry. In New Mexico so far, over 200,000 acres of grassland has already burned this year, nearly 4-times the 25 year average. And the higher forests, although soon, haven't dried to the same potential.

There are two ways to set off a fire...natural and man. Unfortunately man will do his share by tossing cigarettes out car windows, careless burning of campfires and other careless acts. Did you know, for instance, that parking a car over tall grass can start a fire. The catalytic converter gets super-hot and will ignite grass coming in contact with it.

Point here is, don't be the guy who starts a devastating wildfire this year.

If you live in an area where a wildfire could approach your house...go HERE for some tips.

RIDE A TRAIN

The train ride is nice enough as it winds its way up the deep and beautiful canyon and along side the Verde River. Now they've added a special caboose "parlor car" you can charter for yourself and five others. Attached to the back of the train, it is a very luxurious way to go.

The station is located in Clarkdale, Arizona, which is west of interstate 17, halfway between Phoeniz and Flagstaff. Check out their website here...email them here...or call: .
